These will be filled with mortar but you can sometimes still see faint marks on the outer wall. You can also check for damp – damp spots on the interior of your home could indicate that the insulation is sagging, clumping or wet. This is because the brick ties, which connect the inner and outer walls of your home, are soaking up the moisture from the atmosphere.
